Shakespeare - Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

которая взирает на бури, всегда неколебима;
подпадают под взмах его кривого серпа;

препятствием для союза верных душ".}

----------

У времени нет власти над любовью;

Shakespeare - Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending compass come sickle's:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Don't let me for [marriage] Union of true souls
to avoid obstacles {*};that love is not love,
which changes by finding the changes
or strays from the path, obeying the circumstances.
Oh no, it's installed forever milestone
which looks at storm, always unshaken;
for any wandering rook is a star
whose value is unknown, though its height was measured.
Love not the fool of Time, although flowering lips and cheeks
fall under the stroke of his sickle curve;
love doesn't change with fleeting hours and weeks,
but it remains neizmennoi to a fatal end.
If I'm wrong, and I will prove it,
To, znachit, I never wrote and no man
never loved.

{* The whole opening phrase of the sonnet can be interpreted two ways: "Yes but I don't recognize,
what possible obstacles to the Union of the faithful souls" or "I won't Let
an obstacle to the true Union of souls".}

Translation Of M. Tchaikovsky
----------

I do not allow obstacles to merger
Two faithful souls! Love is not love,
When she each time the oscillation
Disappears and comes again.
Oh no! It is an ever fixed mark,
Towards storms looking proudly,
She is the star, and the sailor through the darkness
Shines from the heights, promising shelter happy.
Time has no power over love;
Although it mertit the beauty of the person
Unable to bring the love of silence.
Love live no death ending...
And if there is, then I'm not a poet,
And in the world, no love, no happiness - no!
